I ran 17 miles!!! Ice Pack remedy....

I have been really dreading having to run this far because the farthest I have ever ran was 14 miles and well lets just say I thought I was going to diiieeee!! ahahaha! Which obviously would make me a little nervous. I ment to only run 16 miles but I was feeling so good I thought I would take another mile. I am really loving this running thing, but my knees where killing me towards the end so I iced them.
This is a picture I took here in Idaho. Some people ask me how I can possibly run 17  miles by myself, well here is the reason. Look at how beautiful this place is!! I just love it. Makes you wonder if God is an artist??

PERFECT ICE PACK RECIPE!!
This is the easiest, cheapest and best ice pack you can possibly make!
You will need...

Rubbing Alcohol and  H2O(water)
And you will need 2 gallon size ziplock bags. You can really use any brand and it doesn't have to be the freezer type, any gallon size works wonders :)
Once you have all your supplies you are going to put a cup of rubbing alcohol and 3 cups of water into a  ziplock bag, then put another ziplock bag over that so that you can have extra protection. Place on a flat surface in your freezer for a couple of hours and BAMMM! just like that you have super cold but flexible ice packs.

WARNING!!!!! If you apply directly you may get an Ice pack burn, its happen to me. If you are a dummy like myself just put aloe vera on it and it will make it feel kind of better.

Officially THE worst blogger!!

I am pretty much horrible at making a blog!!! Hahahaha!! But thats ok, I really don't mind. One I dont have any followers and 2. its really just for me. I need to be a little better. I think over time I will get this whole bloggy blog down. I decided against doing the paleo thing.... I know it kind of sucks because now I have no insentive to eat healthy. But I am going to think of a new diet. The reason why I am not is because of the word of wisdom. I was reading it and realized that I was probably breaking it. Here is the verse its D&C 89: 14

14All agrain is ordained for the use of man and of beasts, to be the staff of life, not only for man but for the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven, and all wild animals that run or creep on the earth;

See!!! its ordained of God, so if its ordained of God I probably should eat it hahhaa. But now I am going kind of crazy with the whole grains thing, maybe to extreme... Oh well

MmmMMmm Grains...

Now I am on a journey of trying to still eat healthy with out the paleo diet. I have been eating alot of junk food, I don't know why. I think it maybe all the stress of school. I am sooooo ready to be done. I need a break.

HAPPY Independence DAY!!! I have been reflecting alot of our country and I just feel so bless to live here. I have never been so grateful! I think that may come with age. Our founding fathers were amazing! They were truly raised up by God to create this county

Mnt Rushmore!!
I really want to go to Mount. Rushmore!! I think it would be soooo much fun! Oneday I will go there. But today I am just grateful to be in this country.

Boston here I come!!!

I ran my first half marathon last weekend, well technically not my first :) I ran a half marathon in Iraq. I didn't really train for it to be honest, school has been way to busy... actually more like I have been way to lazy. I ran it in 1:55 which is pretty good I think. I had a blast with it! So I decided I am going to get really into this whole running thing. I went out bought some new shoes and a running watch, garmin. The garmin is probably one of the coolest things EVER!! hahaha I do love.

This is now going to be my blog of getting ready for qualify for the boston. I am going to put my training and what I have been eating. I also am trying out this paleo diet. Its really awesome, I will tell you more about it in up coming blogs :)

This is only about mile 4 or 5
Man I am sooooo Cool! finished and feeling great!

The last few months that I was in Iraq I had some great workout buddies. This work out was one of the many that we had made up together. It can be easy if you are lazy about it. Its definitely a self motivator. You will have to dig deep and not allow your mind to over take your body. You are in control!

warm up with a slow jog for 5 minutes (you MUST always warm up before working out I will go into more detail later about reasons behind that and what makes up a great warm up.)

5 min quick run
1 min box jumps
1 min up downs
1 min squats
1 min planks
1 min short bus drivers
   Do this 3 times

These are my Iraq work out buddies plus one. I sure miss them!!

The beginning....

So I was talking with one if my friends ad I was telling her how much I love working out. I have recently implemented "crossfit" into my life. Now I am sure you are thinking if your typical crossfit with all the work outs of the day BUT this is the real cross fit. The crossan fit, get it hahaha the cross fit because thats my name!!!! Well here are some of my work outs that I will be trying. I am sure no one will be reading this but now I have a common area for all my routines, but if you happen to read this, I hope you enjoy it. I will also probably put some healthy recipes on my page, depending on how crazy I get. Well thank you for reading!!
Peace and love
